Affirmations

The best way to change the way you feel is by using affirmations. Affirmations is a series of positive thoughts that will help you to feel more positive and confident.
For example, "I am a good rider, I can do this and jumping is fun" your not only feel better and more confident, you also change your body language, which your horse is going to pick up on.
Our brain only picks up on key words like 'falling off, scared, getting hurt', So it doesn't matter if you think to your self "I don't want to fall off" your brain only focuses on the 'falling off' part.
The key to feeling more confident is to focus only on what you want to achieve.
You can put together some of your own affirmations, words and sentences that make you feel confident and then using them consistently when you are in a situation where you get nervous.
Changing the way you think will help you to feel different too.
